Former senior police officer Niaz Khoso revealed SSP Malir Rao Anwar earned billions of rupees illegally. Former senior superintendent of police (SSP) Niaz Khoso filed a petition to institute an investigation in the alleged money-laundering of billions of rupees by Rao Anwar. Niaz Khoso’s petition states the SSP Malir illegally siphoned off Rs.85 billion abroad. Rao Anwar also appointed his favorite officers at Jinnah Airport, the petition said.
It should be mentioned here that Khoso earlier moved Sindh High Court (SHC) against SSP Malir for recovery of his son—a sub-inspector with the Anti-Encroachment Force (AEF). The court admitted Khoso’s constitutional petition for preliminary hearing to be heard by a two-judge bench. The petition states that Rao Anwar along with Altaf, son of Ghulam Sarwar Malik, Taimur, son of Tanveer Ahmed, SHO Nasir Afridi and 20 to 25 other armed men came in an armored personnel carrier and six police vehicles and forcibly took his son away in the APC. –SAMAA
